This is a self-contained battery operated 14 ton compression tool. Its 1.65" jaw accepts mid-span copper and aluminum splices and cables up to 750 MCM. Press the trigger and the hydraulic ram applies 14 tons of force, so you get the same crimp every time. Virtually eliminate operator fatigue and strain from applying lugs and splices. The tool head swivels 360° to get into the most cramped and awkward areas. Whether you're in a building up a pole or down in a vault, the simple operation will make fast work of your splicing. The tool accepts all Thomas and Betts shell type dies and comes complete with carrying case, two battery packs and 15 minute charger. 462B601 Standard Replacement Battery. Battery life is typically 600 charges. Cycles per charge vary according to type and size of material being cut or compressed. 462-602 Smart Replacement Battery. Includes an LED display indicating the relative energy level of the battery. Also indicates how many recharge cycles it has experienced, giving you an idea of the remaining life of the cells. It even diagnoses itself, indicating internal problems via its LED display. Interchangeable with all BattPac tools. 462-603 Deep Cycle, Extended Life Battery Pack. Offers 3x the useful energy of the other batteries for when longer lasting power is required. Recharges using any of the rechargers. 462-604 One Hour Battery Charger. AC powered charger recharges completely discharged 462-602 batteries in one hour and 462-603 battery packs in three hours. Not for use with any other battery packs. 462-605 Standard 15 Minute Charger. AC powered charger takes fifteen minutes to completely recharge both the 462-601 and 462-602. 45 minutes on the 462-603. Not for use on any other battery pack. 462-606 12 Volt DC Charger. Cigarette lighter adapter for recharging any of the BattPac battery packs. One hour charge times for the 462-601 and 462-602 , three hours for 462-603. Built-in fuse protection. Recommended to leave engine running while charger is in operation as the drain is considerable. 462-607 AC Power adapter. Allows you to use your 462-600 and 462-658 tools while AC is available. Cannot be used on the 462-614.
