Compact, durable design and simplified controls. Provides up to 10 hours of use with the NiMH rechargeable battery. Also runs off of 3 AA alkaline batteries. Operating range of the TK-3130 is up to 4 miles in open areas with no obstructions. In typical residential areas the range is up to 1.5 miles. In steel and/or concrete reinforced buildings the coverage varies widely depending upon the construction, but can be up to 200,000 sq. ft. or up to 15 floors in a high-rise buildings.
