A powerful tool for troubleshooting network and cable problems. The Series II advantage is that it works in switched LANs and makes it easy to confirm connectivity to servers, switches or routers, to test NIC cards, or to measure 10/100 Mbps Ethernet utilization, collisions and errors. Troubleshooters can even deploy the unit at a remote location and resolve trouble tickets via their Web browsers. It comes with its own report software package for network documenting. The OneTouch is a portable diagnostic tool for 10 and 100 Mbps Ethernet network connections. Just one touch of the Autotest icon displays the connectivity status of desktop stations, routers, and servers. It proves IP connectivity to a specific resource or station from a particular network connection. The OneTouch can isolate adapter card hardware and driver problems by proving that a card can successfully transmit and receive frames as well as identify network connections in the wiring closet that are not currently used by desktop connections. Automatically identifies them in an easy-to-understand graphical form on its large bright screen. Interprets critical Ethernet parameters such as collisions, errors, and broadcasts in the context of traffic levels. OneTouch series II with Internetwork Throughput Option (ITO) adds a test suite that characterizes the capacity of network links. Simulate additional users or generate a specific amount of traffic to stress test the network. Provides the ability to identify bottlenecks and simple one-way and end-to-end Internetwork Throughput tests for WAN/LAN testing (requires 2 units).
