The Megger SCT100 Structured Cabling Tester checks and verifies UTP and STP patch cables and installed networks, providing simple and instant results via LED indicators. It will test for shorts, opens, pair reversal, transposed pairs, and shorts between pairs. Results are displayed on both the remote and the main unit which saves the user a considerable amount of time when many cables need to be checked. A continuously sequencing LED display enables the indication of intermittent faults by monitoring the test sequence over an extended period of time. A magnetic switch within the main unit keeps both units locked together when not in use and acts as a magnetic switch causing it to power up or down when units are separated or joined. 5.7 x 2.25 x 1.5" (closed).
